The beginning of the 2nd quarter was great for seeing things on the surface. In one weekend we saw mating green turtles and had a pod of dolphins jumping in the wake of the boat. I do not know what it is but dolphins just make the day a good one.
Underwater there were some great spots as well. The turtles are back as it is the nesting season. I see various types of cleaning stations on almost every dive and I have finally video taped a loggerhead turtle being cleaned by hogfish on 2 separate occasions. You have to approach slowly and keep your distance so you do not scare the loggerhead away, which can be difficult when diving in a large group. Another great spot was I believe fighting or courting flounder. You be the judge.
The water has been about 81 degrees and visibility was up and down. As you can see from the video we had a few yellow days underwater. I just hate pollution. As I only get to dive on the weekends I have to take what I can get.
